EMTRAIN was presented at the international meeting for the celebrations of the Clinical Trials Day in Vienna on 20 May 2011.
The Clinical Trials Day was dedicated to raising the awareness of clinical research for the development of new diagnostic methods, medical treatments and improved clinical practices. The first Clinical Trials Day was celebrated 2005 in Brussels.
The selection of the 20th of May commemorates the year 1747, when Royal naval surgeon James Lind started his landmark controlled trial of lime juice for the prevention of scurvy in sailors. See also www.jameslindlibrary.org
